Egyptian Palme d’Or at 2020 Cannes Winner "I am Afraid to Forget Your Face - Setashar" got nominated for the French Cèsar Best Short Film Award, media agencies reported on Tuesday.
Cèsar Awards is one of the most prestigious film awards internationally, in addition, it is considered the French equilevant to OSCARs.
Directed by Sameh Alaa, the short film stars Seif Eldin Hemida and Nourhan Ali Abdelazez, and it revolves around Adam, who decides to head for any Odyssey to his lover after 82 days of separation.

The hero of the film was motivated by the last voice note sent to him by his partner before she dies. So, he took such a harsh trip to watch her face for a final time before burial to not forget her face.
The film was awarded the Best Arab Short Film Award at the 4th El Gouna Film Festival (GFF), and it was screened at the Cinema El Ghad program for short films at the 42nd Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF).
