Iran has announced that an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale has struck areas in Fars Province, southwestern Iran, Al Arabiya reported.

Also, an earthquake measuring 4.2 had just occurred off the southern coast of Lebanon, and the Lebanese felt it in more than one region, especially in the Chouf, Sidon, and Beirut, an earthquake that lasted for moments.

While citizens in the West Bank in occupied Palestine confirmed that they felt the earthquake, the Iranian authorities also announced that an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck areas in Fars Governorate, southwest of the country.

In the same context, the Turkish Disaster Management Department confirmed that an aftershock of 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale occurred in Kahraman Maraş, the original epicenter of the earthquake that it was subjected to on the sixth of February.
