South Korea pledged to provide humanitarian aid for those who are affected by the armed conflict in Yemen on Thursday.

The Foreign Ministry of Seoul stated that South Korea will provide $20 million in humanitarian aid for Yemen this year, to support those affected by the conflict in these Middle Eastern countries.

“Ham Sang Wook, the Deputy Foreign Minister for multilateral Affairs, made this pledge during a high-level virtual donor event on the humanitarian crisis by the UN with Sweden and Switzerland governments,” the Foreign Ministry added.

The ministry indicated that South Korea will provide food and other support to the vulnerable groups, as its people have been suffering from the fallout of a prolonged civil war.
