The Egyptian Senator Ehab Zakaria said on Monday the European Parliament's resolution regarding the situation of human rights in Egypt included many fallacies contrary to the reality of the Egyptian interior affairs.

Zakaria pointed out that such decisions are questionable in the light of several factors, including that European countries support organizations that are considered terrorist organizations by the Egyptian people based on their ideas and beliefs.

Zakarian noted that the European Parliament ignored Egypt's current stability after a popular revolution against a theocratic regime hostile to humanity, which represented a direct threat to European countries according to its beliefs of jihad and the recovery of countries that were historically ruled by Arabs (Italy - Romania - Malta - Greece - Spain - Portugal).

"The Egyptian people have resisted these myths which were against the principles of humanity and acceptance of the other," the senator stated.

"There is remarkable ambiguity in the European countries’ vision historically in terms of human rights, especially with the presence of violations to the states and peoples sovereignty and their resources, practiced by these countries, whether in other countries such as the African countries, for example, but not limited to, which has led to a decline in the development rates of these countries."

The Egyptians are concerned about the European countries' support for the Arab Spring revolutions that produced disintegrated states and terrorist organizations and were the results produced by the environment planned, or were they due to a misunderstanding of local cultures?

He pointed to a suspicion of the escalation of reports using human rights as a pretext at times based on political motives and economic interests.

Another factor is the judiciary independence, which is among the most important things that the Egyptian people defended against the theocratic rule to affirm the modern civil state and this is what the report criticizes.

"Dealing with the concept of human rights without realizing other criteria, such as the independence of the judiciary, the war against terrorism, or the assault on the rights of minorities, and with the awareness of the concept of freedom in the local culture, is considered as a discharge of the concept of human rights from its content."

He hoped that the evaluation will be objectively purposeful without being affected by the mental image planted by politicized media to develop sympathy with extremist trends which will harm European countries in the coming years.

According to Zakaria, development sustainability is facing a crisis according to international and environmental variables that necessitate the participation of major countries and international organizations towards comprehensive sustainable development of the planet.

"Egypt is deemed as an effective regional power among the most active countries with the goals of sustainable development, therefore, it is an influential strategic partner of the European Union that guarantees the achievement of Sustainable development goals for both parties," the senator further said.

"However, strategic partnerships must be established based on understanding, reviewing visions, and acceptance of the other, not by pressures and politically directed reports, but by cooperation in achieving the desired goals of sustainable development," he added.
