Senate Speaker, Romanian President Discuss Boosting Bilateral Ties

Senate Speaker Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek received on Wednesday Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and his accompanying delegation. 

The two parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation ties between the two friendly countries.

At the outset of the meeting, Abdel Razek welcomed the Romanian President's visit to Egypt, praising the historic and deep relations between Cairo and Bucharest.

Moreover, the Senate Speaker expressed Egypt's keenness to further boost bilateral cooperation between both countries especially in the parliamentary, economic, cultural, tourism fields.

On his part, the Romanian President underlined the importance of collaboration between the two countries in various fields, especially in light of close historic relations that extend back 115 years ago.

Moreover, Iohannis invited the Senate speaker to visit the Romanian senate, to boost cooperation between it and the Egyptian one.
