Egyptian singer Rotana Selim reveled details behind her latest hit single "El Ragel Nea'ma", which sparked controversy among social media users.
The song, which translates as "The Man is a Blessing," offers a better idea of how gender language is used, and a better picture of the men, whom she describes as 'the father, the brother, or even the stranger, who helps the women, without expecting anything in return'.

The song was received with criticism from some women, who debate the nature of "being male”, seeing men as predators. The song clearly defends them, and tries to portray their good qualities, ones who provide safety and joy.
Rotana said during a symposium at Sada el balad English (See) that the music video discribes all kinds of men, adding that she is preparing for two other videos, to be released in the feast.

She added,: I worked as a TV presenter for an Arabic-language channel but, I preferred to focus on my singing career, which I learned from my father, who had always encouraged me to achieve my dreams."
"El Ragel Ne'ama" is written and composed by Aziz Al Shafei, distributed by Osama Abdel Hadi, and directed by director Hassan Al Sayed, and the clip was filmed over two days in a number of locations abroad.
Rotana is also preparing to cooperate with a number of famous poets, composers and distributors, in preparation for new hits scheduled for release during the coming period.
It is noteworthy that Rotana Selim recently released the song "Silat Al Kalam", which was discussing the 2020 harvest, including events such as the coronavirus and the Lebanon explosions and others.
