From Wadi El Hitan (Whale Valley) in Fayoum to the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, to the streets of El Mahrousa, churches and mosques in the Islamic and Coptic era, and even our cafes and restaurants today... Stories and secrets lived by the great archaeologist Zahi Hawass are circulated to provide the reader with an elegant and interesting book considered as an archaeological guide for all who love Egypt, its civilization and monuments.

This is the summary of Zahi Hawass's new book ‘Secret Egypt.’ Ten chapters are filled with history, architecture, art, memories, and adventures made by Hawass among the monuments over his career.

The signing ceremony of his new book last Wednesday was a celebration of the great archaeologist. Hawass presented an interesting lecture with his Egyptian sense of humor, attracting the attention of Egyptian ministers, artists, intellectuals, experts, and Egyptologists who attended the event. They gathered in a cultural evening in love with the icon of Egypt Zahi Hawass, known worldwide as the Pharaoh of Egypt with his famous hat in the most important squares and streets in Europe, the US and even in Japan.

As usual, Hawass impressed the audience of his love and passion for archaeological discoveries, restoration of churches and temples, the discovery of the Valley of the Golden Mummies in Bahariya Oasis. He also discovered the tombs of workers builders of the pyramids and the most important places of Coptic and Islamic cafes in Egypt. He always fascinates the kings of the world with his interesting adventures through ancient Egypt history.

His book contains short 11 tours that make tourists repeat their visits to Egypt more than once to get in each of them what he did not see in the previous one. The book is based on suspense and not rigid dry information. It contains high-quality color photos and gives part of the information to entice tourists to come  to Egypt for full details. This is what we always seek, as tourism promotion is our main concern at this stage of building the state.

Hawass will remain the beautiful icon of Egypt, his effort, diligence, and wonderful ideas are enough to promote Egyptian tourism through lectures delivered in all countries of the world. Last month, he delivered 40 lectures in the US through a great way, reflecting the great image of Egypt they represented the best promotion for Egypt and its antiquities.
