The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, affirmed that the unified military command represents a pillar of security and stability and a shield to protect and preserve the capabilities and achievements of the GCC states.

The Saudi Press Agency stated that this came during Al-Hajraf’s visit to the headquarters of the unified military command in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the presence of the commander of the unified military command, Lieutenant-General Dr. Eid bin Awad Al-Shalawi, and the senior commanding officers.

Al-Hajraf pointed out that the unified military command is one of the greatest joint Gulf military achievements, and the decision to establish it came with the blessing of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in their belief in the cohesion ties between the member states.
