Mohamed Brayeh, Vice President of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) for Ports Affairs received Nobuhiko Murakami, President of the Japanese Toyota Tsusho Corp., and his accompanying delegation at the authority’s headquarters in Port Said, to inspect the Ro-Ro terminal in the new berths in East Port Said.
The berth is operated by a alliance, which included Toyota Tsusho, the French Poloria, and NYK .
During the meeting, the Vice President of the Economic Zone said that the zone enjoys promising investment opportunities, especially advantages and exemptions it enjoys through international free trade agreements with many countries.
After the meeting, the two sides visited the East Port Said area, and during the visit, the delegation listened to a detailed presentation from the contractor executing the project, including the stages of work on the sidewalk, and the timetable for the implementation stages of soil improvement works and the infrastructure of the station as well as preparing the yards, in preparation for the start of work in the first quarter of 2023.
