The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) announced, in its statement, Wednesday, that it had signed a contract to establish a vocational training center in cooperation with the Chinese government, represented by the General Authority for International Economic Cooperation Affairs at the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

Following the signing, the initial designs and construction drawings will be finalized in preparation for the start of construction. The area of the training center to be established is 40,000 square meters, while the cost of establishing the center is about 128 million Chinese yuan as a grant provided by the Chinese government under the cooperation agreement signed between the two countries at a previous stage.

SCZone Chairman Walid Gamal el-Din stated that the training complex consists of a training center equipped with the latest technology laboratories for various industries, most notably the energy, automotive, robotics, electronics and communications technology industries, as well as language education.

The center features an exercise simulation with an interactive system between the trainee and the trainer. It also contains a residential complex for trainees,  sports and recreational facilities, which aims to train and qualify workers, enhance their skills and prepare them for the labor market.
