SCZone Contracts with Dutch Alliance to Enhance Investments in Green Fuel Industry

Walid Gamal El Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) signed a cooperation protocol with an alliance of a group of Dutch companies led by the Dutch Egyptian Business Development Company in Rotterdam.

The protocol includes expanding the work of these companies by pumping major investments within the economic zone, especially towards establishing green hydrogen production stations and using it directly to supply vehicles of various types with green fuel and transferring the production through pipelines designated for transporting and them to foreign markets, according to a statement issued by the authority.

The authority said that the protocol supports achieving Egypt’s vision of reducing carbon emissions, in addition to developing the sector of green hydrogen derivatives from green fuel and green ammonia, in addition to the Dutch government’s technical support for studies on these projects.

Today, the President of the Economic Zone met with representatives of this alliance and held several meetings with representatives of companies working in the field of energy and green fuel production to discuss prospects for cooperation between the Egyptian and dutch ports, to achieve the maximum benefit and achieve the goals of the global transition towards green energy.
