The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts extremely hot weather will prevail in most of the country during Tuesday's daylight hours.

Moderately to hot weather is also expected to prevail in the North Coast.

The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index by 1-2 degrees.

The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt, limiting horizontal visibility.

Meteorologists also predict that the country will continue experiencing a rise in temperature.

Wind speeds between 30 and 35 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected to occasionally occur in Cairo and South Sinai, stirring up sand and dust in the Western Sahara and North and central Upper Egypt.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1.25 and 1.75 meters in height varying between northeast and northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Moderate weather is also expected to prevail in most parts of Egypt at night and in the early morning.

Moderately hot weather is also expected to prevail in South Upper Egypt.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 37°C in Cairo, 30°C in Alexandria, 28°C in Marsa Matruh, 43°C in Sohag, 44°C in Qena, and 44°C in Aswan.
