Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to undertake an official visit to Israel tomorrow, Tuesday, in a demonstration of solidarity within the country.
This visit, as reported by the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" today, comes as a gesture of support.
Reports indicate that the visit will span several hours before Chancellor Scholz proceeds to make another visit to Egypt.
Earlier today, the German news agency DPA (Deutsche Presse-Agentur) had reported that Chancellor Scholz was planning a visit to Israel in the near future, following a prior report by "Bild" newspaper.
However, these plans have not yet been officially confirmed by the Chancellery in Berlin.
Last Friday, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock traveled to Israel in a solidarity visit.
