Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed with his U.S. counterpart, Marco Rubio, the ongoing Iranian aggressions against the Kingdom and countries in the region.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Secretary Rubio expressed the United States' appreciation for the Kingdom's efforts in protecting diplomatic missions and assisting in the evacuation of foreign nationals.
In a related security development, the official spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Turki Al-Malki, announced that three cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed outside the city of Al-Kharj.
This coincided with a statement from an official source at the Saudi Ministry of Energy, reporting that the Ras Tanura refinery was targeted Wednesday morning by a drone attack.
The source confirmed, via SPA, that no damage was recorded and crude oil supplies remained unaffected.
For his part, the Ministry of Defense spokesperson stated that preliminary assessments indicate the attack was carried out by a drone and resulted in no operational damage.
