Saudi Ministry of Hajj, Umrah Launches 'Hajj Expo'

Prince Khaled AlFaisal, the Governor of the region of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, the Governor of the region of Madinah, inaugurated the Conference & Exhibition for Hajj & Umrah Services "Hajj Expo" 2023, in its second edition.

the exhibition is hosted by Jeddah Governorate, with the participation of 81 speakers from the public and private sectors from inside and outside the Kingdom, as well as high-level delegations including the Ministers of Religious Affairs, heads of Hajj missions, and higher authorities from more than 57 countries.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq AlRabiah welcomed, in his speech during the opening of "Hajj Expo", their Highnesses, Excellencies, experts, specialists, and those interested in Hajj and Umrah affairs, noting that serving the guests of Allah that come from all around the world is a top priority, and an authentic historical commitment, and a great honor that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him – is proud of, so that Pilgrims may perform their rituals with peace and ease within a digitized journey of faith.

AlRabiah stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to improve and develop all services and solutions provided to Pilgrims through the development of regulations and legislation in the Hajj and Umrah system.

He pointed out that the gathering of authorities supervising the affairs of Pilgrims in the Islamic world, and their early signing of Hajj agreements are evidence of their readiness to continue providing the best services to Pilgrims, in partnership with the concerned authorities from 70 parties.

The Governors of Makkah and Madinah visited the Hajj Expo, accompanied by AlRabiah, Minister of Transport Saleh AlJasser, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar AlKhorayef, the General President for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Abdulrahman AlSudais, the Deputy Interior Minister for Operations, Saeed AlQahtani, and the CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah and the Holy Sites, Saleh AlRasheed.

The forum witnessed the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding with several parties, including the Public Endowment Authority, the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, King Salman Complex for the Arabic Language, the Saudi Standards and Metrology Authority, and the Banking Information and Awareness Committee In Saudi banks, to provide a number of services and exchange experiences, and more than 57 agreements for Hajj services were signed with all Islamic countries, including the numbers of Pilgrims, the ports of entry, as well as health and procedural instructions.

Experts and specialists participating in the "Hajj Expo" discuss ways to develop a road map to enhance and enrich the Hajj journey through 10 main sessions, 13 dialogue sessions, "Hajj Talk" sessions, 36 workshops, in addition to many accompanying events, and activities, such as the Islamic Exhibition, the "Hajj, and Umrah Challenge" area, the start-up companies area, during the period from 16-19 Jumada al-Akher 1444H corresponding to 9-12 January 2023.

The "Hajj Expo" aims to build an integrated and sustainable system that contributes to developing the experience of the Guests of Allah by benefiting from the ideas and visions of specialists, anticipating future directions, developing opportunities for partnerships, agreements, and local and international initiatives to enrich the experience of the Guests of Allah, and involving innovators and entrepreneurs to enhance the quality of services provided during Hajj, and reviewing The Kingdom's efforts to enhance the sustainability of the development of services provided to Pilgrims.
