On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz called on the international community to take a firm stance to address Iran's efforts to acquire weapons of mass destruction, according to Russia Today (RT).

'The Kingdom affirms the dangers of the Iranian regime's regional project, and rejects its interference in the internal affairs of other states, as well as its support for terrorism, extremism and its efforts to fan the flames of sectarianism," the king said at the 8th session's opening of the Saudi Shura Council.

He added, "We urge the international community to take a firm stance against Iran, that guarantees a drastic handling of its efforts to obtain weapons of mass destruction and develop its ballistic missiles program."
