Saudi King, CP Greet Sisi on July 23rd Revolution Anniv.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince (CP) Mohamed Bin Salman sent on Monday congratulatory telegrams to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the 67th anniversary of July 23rd Revolution.

 

They wished President Sisi continued good health and the Egyptian people further progress and prosperity.

 

Revolution Day refers to the public holiday in Egypt on 23 July، the anniversary of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 which led to the declaration of the modern republic of Egypt، ending the period of the Kingdom of Egypt.

 

Annual celebrations marking the Revolution begin on the preceding evening، as the evening of 22 July 1952 was when the Free Officers Movement led by Muhammad Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser commenced the Revolution، and ultimately led to the abdication of King Farouk (the penultimate King of Egypt and Sudan).

 

It is noteworthy that President Sisi attended today the graduation ceremony of military academies’ cadets at the headquarters of the Egyptian Military Academy in Cairo.

 

Upon his arrival, El Sisi was received by Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki and Army Chief-of-Staff Mohamed Farid.

 

The graduation ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, military leaders, and senior state officials.

 

The graduates were students at the Military Academy, the Air Defense Academy, the Naval Academy, the Military Technical College, and the Technical Institute for Military Forces.

 

More than 1,300 students of the military academies presented a physical exercise show to display their physical fitness and high-standard combat skills.

The shows included a series of fighting techniques and Karate and Kung Fu exercises.

Some of the cadets also engaged in free fighting exercises with the use of cold weapons to reflect their self defense skills. Another group of cadets showed their skills in climbing and storming of buildings to counter enemies.Paratroopers also showed up their skills along with other groups of cadets representing the various military pisions

On July 20, Sisi also attended the graduation ceremony of a new batch of police cadets at the Police Academy headquarters in Cairo's suburb of New Cairo.
