Saudi Grants Piece of Kaaba Cover to Admin. Capital Museum

Yesterday, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received from the Saudi Ambassador to Cairo, Osama bin Ahmed Nugali, part of the Kaaba cover as a gift from the Kingdom to the Antiquities Museum in the new administrative capital, which narrates the Egypt’s history throughout the years.

In his speech, Ambassador Osama bin Ahmed Nugali congratulated His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the government and people of Egypt on the establishment of this museum in the city of culture and arts in the administrative capital, stressing that it will portray Egypt’s rich history in a positive way.

The Saudi Ambassador also thanked the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities for its invitation to the Kingdom to contribute to and participate in this great historical edifice, expressing his endeavors to have, on behalf of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, dedicate this museum to a piece of covering the honorable Kaaba, which is a symbol of the depth of relations between the two countries and a symbol of blood ties and bonds of history.

He also praised during his speech the great efforts made by the Egyptian government through the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, which he touched closely during his frequent visits to archaeological areas and museums throughout Egypt to highlight the great historical and cultural heritage of one of the largest civilizations in the region and the world, which is being done by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in the restoration and development of sites Historical palaces and museums.

In his speech, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani welcomed the attendees and their presence in the city of culture and arts, which was a dream now turning into a reality, stressing that with every visit he finds that work in the museum has progressed significantly, as it is part of a message that Egypt offers to the whole world of opera, theaters and museums The Capital Museum tells the history of capitals and the history of Egypt through maps and films, so the museum is nearing completion, as it is scheduled to open in the middle of this year, explaining that communication was made with our brothers in Saudi Arabia through the most wonderful gift we get in the world, a symbol of friendship and the strength of friendship and cooperation relations.
