Saudi Foreign Minister (FM) Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud said on Monday that reaching an agreement with Iran to resume diplomatic ties does not mean resolving all the differences between the two countries.
In an exclusive interview with "Asharq Al-Awsat", Bin Farhan made it clear that the agreement to restore diplomatic relations confirms the common desire of the two sides to resolve differences through communication and dialogue.
He also indicated that he is looking forward to meeting his Iranian counterpart soon, based on what has been agreed upon.
"We are preparing to resume diplomatic relations between our two countries during the next two months, and it is normal for us to exchange visits in the future," he added.
He pointed out that this agreement, sponsored and mediated by China, came after several rounds of talks over the past two years in both Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman.
