Saudi Foreign Minister (FM) Faisal bin Farhan expressed the Kingdom's appreciation for US President Donald Trump’s responsiveness in granting ongoing negotiations with Iran an additional opportunity, while praising Pakistan's continuous mediation efforts.
Writing on the "X" platform (formerly Twitter), Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud stated: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia highly appreciates the responsiveness of His Excellency the President of the United States of America in granting negotiations an additional opportunity to reach an agreement that leads to ending the war and restoring the security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to how it was before February 28, 2026, as well as addressing all disputed issues in a manner that serves the region's security and stability."
"The Kingdom highly appreciates Pakistan's continuous mediation efforts in this regard," he added.
Moreover, Saudi FM urged Iran to seize this opportunity, avoid the consequences of escalation, and respond positively to the international efforts being made to advance the negotiations, leading to a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region and the world."
