The agency indicated that the call "tackled the latest developments in the situation in Sudan."
In turn, the US State Department said in a statement that Blinken “stressed to his Saudi counterpart the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza and preventing the escalation or spread of the conflict.”
According to the statement, Bin Farhan and Blinken "stressed that the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces should participate in the ceasefire talks planned for August, reach an agreement to end the conflict, and allow humanitarian aid to reach those in need."
