The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched a project to establish the first non-profit city in the world, targeting youth and voluntary groups, as well as local and international non-profit organizations, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
According to statements by the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, published by the Kingdom’s official agency, the city that adopts the digital twin concept will host many academies and colleges; it will include a conference center, a scientific museum, and a creativity center for innovators in science and technology with advanced systems such as: artificial intelligence, Internet of things and robotics, as well as an art institute and gallery, performing arts theatres, a game area, a culinary institute in addition to an integrated residential complex.
In his statements, the Crown Prince indicated that the city will also host venture capital and community-based investors around the world.
The agency pointed out that the non-profit Prince Mohammed bin Salman City project will be built on private land for the Crown Prince, and extends over an area of 3.4 square kilometers in the Arqa neighborhood in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
