Saudi Arabia Reports Attack on NCC MASA Commercial Vessel

Saudi Arabia’s General Transport Authority has reported that one of the country’s commercial vessels was targeted while sailing on Friday, resulting in minor damage to the ship’s hull.

A responsible official at the authority said the vessel, NCC MASA, owned by a Saudi company, came under attack during its voyage. The incident caused limited damage, but the ship remained operational after safety checks confirmed the condition of the vessel and the well-being of its crew.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the vessel continued its journey toward its intended destination after authorities verified that there were no major risks to the ship or its personnel.

The General Transport Authority condemned the continued targeting of commercial vessels, describing such actions as violations of international laws and norms that guarantee the safety and security of maritime navigation and civilian crews.

The incident comes amid heightened concerns over maritime security and growing risks facing commercial shipping routes, with international authorities repeatedly calling for the protection of vessels and the uninterrupted flow of global trade.
