The Saudi-Georgian Business Forum, organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, on Wednesday, witnessed the signing of several significant trade agreements and partnerships between investors from both countries.

Over 200 Saudi and Georgian companies participated in the forum, which highlighted promising investment opportunities in both nations, particularly in the transport, logistics, agriculture, tourism, real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors.

Hassan Al-Huwaizi, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, called for a forward-looking vision for investment and trade partnerships between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the incentives and opportunities available in Saudi Arabia and Georgia. He also urged the exploration of reasons for the low trade exchange and ways to address them.

Ahmed Al-Dakheel, Chairman of the Saudi-Georgian Business Council, echoed the need to remove obstacles hindering the development of trade and investment relations, aiming to increase trade exchanges and joint investments.

The capital, Tbilisi, also hosted a joint meeting of the Saudi-Georgian Business Council, where plans and initiatives to strengthen economic ties between the two countries were discussed.

It is worth noting that the trade exchange volume between Saudi Arabia and Georgia reached approximately SAR 162 million in 2023, with Saudi exports accounting for 31% of this figure, while Georgian imports made up 69%. This visit aims to boost trade exchange to higher levels that meet the aspirations of both nations.
