The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that today marks the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, and tomorrow will be the first day of Shawwal and Eid Al-Fitr.
However, the crescent moon of Shawwal has not been sighted in several countries.
The International Astronomy Center stated that the sun will soon set in the eastern part of the Islamic world, and members of the Islamic Crescent Observation Project, affiliated with the center, will begin their efforts to sight the new moon from various locations worldwide, ranging from Australia to the United States.
They will use all available methods, including the naked eye, binoculars, computerized telescopes, and astronomical imaging technology.
