Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed the latest developments in the region in a telephone call on Wednesday with his Somali counterpart, Abdulsalam Abdi Ali.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) today, both sides affirmed the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Somalia, and discussed a number of issues of common interest.

Noteworthy, Thousands of Somalis took to the streets, on Wednesday, in the capital, Mogadishu, as well as in Baidoa (South West State), Hudur (Bakool region), Adado, and Guriel (Galgaduud region, Galmudug State).

Demonstrators gathered in major squares waving the national flag and chanting slogans rejecting any attempts to recognize the secession or division of Somali territories, particularly in the northern regions, according to the Somali National News Agency (SONA).

Moreover, cities and provinces across Hirshabelle State witnessed massive protests condemning Israeli interference and violations of Somalia's autonomy and territorial integrity.

These demonstrations follow intensive efforts by Somali leadership, the Federal Parliament, and Cabinet members to strengthen the nation’s stance against Israeli actions.

These efforts coincide with widespread support from African, Arab, and international partners for Somalia’s unity and autonomy.
