Officials of the Football Association expected the suspension of Farjani Sassi after his objection to referee Amin Omar during yesterday's match, Thursday.

Officials added that the number of matches would be determined by the Disciplinary Committee, which will not be less than four matches and will not exceed eight ones, besides the financial penalty.

They explained that the suspension of Sassi for more than one match would not prevent him from participating in the semi-finals of the African Champions League on October 18th against Al-Rajaa.

Since the suspension is limited to local tournaments such as the League, the Egyptian Cup, and the local Super Cup only, Sassi will be eligible to participate in African Champions with Zamalek.

The Football Association decided to refer the incident of Sassi, who reacted inappropriately to the referee, to the Disciplinary Committee headed by the advisor Mr. Al-Bandari to impose a penalty on the player.

The regulation clarifies the punishment of Sassi after his expulsion in the match against Al-Masry.

Article 23 of the penalties list states the following:

Assault or attempt to assault the referee or his assistants or any member of the technical, administrative, and medical team, the media coordinator, or the players for his team or the opponent's team or others.

According to the regulation, these matters require the punishment of the following four points, according to what the committee decides:

1- Suspension.

2- A financial penalty of 50 thousand pounds.

3- Elimination.

4- A fine equals the value of the damages.
