Egypt's head coach Hossam El Badry has called up four foreign-based players for the Pharaohs upcoming closed camp, including Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

The Pharaohs will be facing Togo on 26, and 29 March in the third and fourth rounds of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Cameroon is set to host the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

El Badry named Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet (Aston Villa), Ahmed Hassan Koka ( Braga), Ahmed Hegazy( West Bromwich).

In a statement, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said that the foreign-based players would join Egypt's camp on 23 March.

The Egyptian national team are now in the third spot in Group G with only two points.

The Pharaohs opened their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers adventure with a 1-1 draw to Kenya at Cairo Stadium in November.

They went to an away clash against Comoros that ended in a goalless draw.

It is worth mentioning that, the former Al Ahly coach was appointed as Egypt's new manager on September 19.

Since El-Badry's appointment in September, he led the Pharaohs to win two friendly matches, defeating Botswana 1-0 in October before pulling off a late 1-0 win over Liberia in November.

The Pharaohs were picked in Group G alongside Kenya, Togo, and Comoros. 48 teams were pided into 12 groups of 4 teams and the top two sides from each group will earn a ticket to the 2021 showpiece tournament in Cameroon.
