AS Saint-Etienne boss Claude Puel commented Thursday on the French team's desire to include the Zamalek striker Mostafa Mohamed during the current transfer window.

"In essence, the more we talk about it, the fewer things are done,” Puel said to le10sport.com following his team's 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain.

“I have no comment to make on Mostafa Mohamed. We have a lot of wishes in the transfer market." he added.

"We know the difficulties we are facing to settle the deal, but we will see what is possible to achieve. The most important thing is my group of players,”

Puel is influenced by the William Saliba and M'Baye Niang loan negotiations failures in the last moments, according to le10sport.

Scalded by these two files, the manager of Les Verts is being discreet until the contract is signed.

Several European clubs have expressed their interest in the 24-year-old forward, as Galatasaray, Rayo Vallecano, Fenerbache, Saint-Étienne, SC Braga, and Nantes have all reportedly been keeping an eye on him.

However, Saint-Étienne are currently leading the race to sign Mostafa Mohamed, with the player affirming that the Greens are his preferred destination.

Meanwhile, Zamalek club management imposed a fine on the player for making statements to the media without permission.
