Egyptian politician and the former Information Minister Safwat El Sherif contracted COVID-19, according to TV presenter Mohamed El-Baz.
El-Baz added on Saturday that El Sherif's case is somehow critical wishing him a speedy recovery.
Recently, a number of celebrated Egyptian stars and media persons contracted the virus lately such as Youssra, Wael El Ebrashy, Nagwa Ibrahim, and Amr Moussa.
Moreover, Egypt is currently witnessing a high increase of COVID-19 cases as the country recorded 1409 new COVID-19 cases rising the total number to 139, 471.
