In a recent development highlighted by Sada El Balad TV, Egypt's commitment to seeking justice in Gaza has been reinforced through its support for international investigations into the region's violations. During an interview on the show “Ala Massoulity” (By My Responsibility), Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu-Zeid conveyed Egypt's firm stance on the legal actions undertaken by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Abu-Zeid stated that Egypt fully backs these legal measures, as they align with international law and Egypt's dedication to upholding justice. He noted that the ICJ is currently assessing its jurisdiction in the case and is expected to make decisions on interim measures soon. The focus of these measures is to protect the Palestinian population and halt the hostilities they are facing.

Addressing Israel's allegations about Egypt's role in the Rafah crossing closures, Abu-Zeid clarified that Egypt has consistently kept the crossing open since the crisis began, contrary to the claims. He emphasized Egypt's significant efforts in facilitating the entry of aid and accused Israel of obstructing the delivery of essential medical and humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

This stance, as reported by Sada El Balad TV, signifies a critical moment in Egypt's foreign policy. By advocating for legal scrutiny into the Gaza conflict and actively aiding the Palestinian people, Egypt has positioned itself as a key mediator and advocate for justice and humanitarian relief in the region. The country's actions demonstrate its commitment to resolving the conflict through legal and diplomatic efforts, highlighting its influential role in the international arena.
