Saad Lamjarred Releases Music Video, “Adda el Kalam”

Moroccan pop singer Saad Lamjarred dropped on Wednesday his new music video “Adda Elkalam”, on his official “YouTube” channel.

Lamjarred postponed the video's release out of respect for the celebrities who departed from the world recently.

The music video gained 1.7 million hits, which marks his first time to present an Egyptian dialect song.

Adda Elkalam is by the lyrics of Amir Teima, and composed by Aziz El Shafei.

It is worth mentioning that Lamjarred, born on April 7, 1985, is a Moroccan pop singer, dancer, singer-songwriter, actor, and record producer.

The 35-year-old had a special interest in playing the piano, as well as singing as early as the age of four.

Lamjarred then went on to study at the Conservatory of Music in Rabat, where he majored in music, art theory, and dance.

He performed many productions and collaborated with his father.

In 2001, Lamjarred moved to the US, which he cites to be one of the main sources of inspiration for his music,  crediting the experience for exposing him to western music and having a defining effect on his style and the type of artist he wanted to identify as.

He took part in the 4th season of the widely popular Arab talent TV show, the "Super Star" in 2007and was placed second, which earned him recognition. Tunisian Marwan Ali was named the winner.

Along with his singing career, Lamjarred also embarked on an acting career. He made his acting debut in 2011, playing the male lead in Moroccan soap opera "Ahlam Nassim",

In 2013, he released an album titled "Wala Aalik".

The 35-year-old released that same year two more EPs, namely “Salina”, and “Enty",  the latter became one of Lamjarred’s biggest hits and earned him an award at the Méditel Morocco Music Awards 2014, and the Murex d’Or award in the category of “Best Arabic Song”.

He was also nominated for the Best Middle East Act at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards for the track.

Lamjarred is best known for his singles, "Lm3allem", “Enty”, "Ghaltana", and "Casablanca".

In 2019, he collaborated with Egyptian actor, Mohamed Ramadan in music video “Ensay”, which achieved tremendous success by earning over 25 million viewers.

“Ensay” achieved great success hours after its debut، where it earned 1,7million views.

Set in Paris capital of France, it featured Ramadan working as a chef and Lamjarred working as a waiter in a restaurant.

It was the first collaboration between the duo.
