South Korean Ambassador Jinwook Hong awarded a shield of appreciation to Egypt's Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed in recognition of her distinguished efforts in vaccinating 460 Korean citizens who are currently living in Egypt with at least the first dose.
This came following his meeting with Zayed early Sunday in order to activate their partnership. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, according to a statement released by the South Korean Embassy in Cairo.
During this meeting, the South Korean Ambassador to Egypt revealed that the embassy will hold a seminar on 27 September to inform South Korean medical corporations about the capabilities of the Egyptian medical and pharmaceutical market.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health and Population said that Egypt is looking forward to fostering medical cooperation with South Korea in the fields of plasma collection and coronavirus vaccine production.
