South Korean President Lee Jae-myung expressed his condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims of the Air India plane crash that occurred in a residential area of Ahmedabad.
In a post on the social media platform X, cited by the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) on Saturday, Lee said he was deeply shocked by the tragedy and emphasized that the South Korean people stand with the people of India during this difficult time.
The ill-fated aircraft was en route to Gatwick Airport in London, carrying 242 people, 230 passengers, two pilots, and 10 crew members, when it crashed into a residential building just seconds after taking off from Ahmedabad International Airport.
All but one of those on board perished, and at least 24 people who were in the building also lost their lives.
