The "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds shared an update about the next installment in the r-rated franchise.
In a recent press event, Reynolds addressed the chances of beginning filming in 2022, adding that it was a 70% change.
"We are really actively developing it and getting it into pretty good shape,” he noted.
Reynolds noted that he has not kept track of time, but he did give a promising update on the scripting process.
He stated that he was working on the script with Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, known collectively as the Molyneux sisters.
"It has been great. They are incredibly talented and so, so smart. They do understand that world and know how to zig when everyone’s expecting a zag, so it’s been a lot of fun,” added Reynolds.
Marvel Studios has not yet revealed a release date for "Deadpool 3".
In 2019, Disney was officially acquired by 20th Century Fox. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige was quick to confirm the franchise as a keeper for the MCU.
