The Russian Ministry of Finance announced that the country's revenues from the sale of energy resources rose to 5.7 trillion roubles, or about $64 billion in the first half of this year.
The Ministry said in a report it published that the volume of oil and gas revenues in the period from January to June of this year increased by 68.5%, compared to the same period in 2023, and amounted to about 5.7 trillion roubles.
The report indicated that the increase in revenues achieved in the first half 700 billion roubles above the previously expected level, is largely due to the rise in prices of Russian “Urals” oil, and selling it at a price higher than the ceiling set by the west at $60 per barrel.
