Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov warned that the inability of the West to accept the emergence of a multi-polar world might lead to a nuclear catastrophe, indicating the possibility of avoiding this.

According to Russia Today (RT), a Russian news website, a member of the Federation Council confirmed on Telegram that humanity in the coming decades would not witness harmony or civilized competition.

"Given that Western elites are unable to accept the emergence of a genuinely multi-polar world and with other models of social order contrary to the so-called 'liberal democracy.

Pushkov indicated  the decline of the West will be accompanied by intense conflicts, in which the economy will repeatedly fall victim to political decisions."

He pointed out that the only positive outcome "in the circumstances of such conflicts is the prevention of a nuclear catastrophe."
