Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his congratulations to the Muslims of his country on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha.
In his congratulatory message, published by the Russian Embassy in Cairo, Putin stated, "Following the path of Islam and the time-honored traditions of your ancestors, you celebrate this ancient religious occasion widely—a feast that brings believers back to the roots of Islam and calls for goodness, justice, mercy, and piety."
Putin pointed out in his message that Islamic organizations actively participate in the social and cultural life of Russia. He noted that they pay great attention to promoting family values, raising younger generations in the spirit of patriotism, and implementing educational and charitable initiatives of social importance.
The Russian President expressed his appreciation for the role of Muslims in the country, emphasizing that their activities aimed at supporting the defenders of the homeland, as well as their families and relatives, deserve the utmost appreciation and gratitude.
Putin concluded his message by wishing health, success, and all the best to the Muslims in Russia.
