Eldar Aliev, Director of the Department of International Relations at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation extended congratulations, on behalf of the Mufti of Russia Sheikh Rawi Ainuddin, to Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed el Tayyeb, for receiving the title of the Best Islamic Personality.
In a statement by the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo, Aliyev said Tayyeb deserves such an honor granted by the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.
On his part, Sherif Gad, Secretary General of the Egyptian-Russian Friendship Association expressed his appreciation for the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia.
