The Russian Language Olympiad held at the Russian Cultural House in Cairo concluded yesterday with the participation of 150 students from various institutions, including Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Suez Canal University, the Egyptian-Russian University, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, Sadat Academy, and the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo.
After intense competition, the jury announced the winners across various categories:
Translation Competition:
First Place: Khudair Reda Abdelkader (Ain Shams University).
Second Place: Shahd Emad Gouda (Ain Shams University).
Third Place: Mohamed Ashraf (Ain Shams University).
Grammar Competition:
First Place: Mariam Mohamed (Egyptian-Russian University).
First Place (tie): Jalila Afadalim.
Second Place: Youssef Nasr Eldin (Russian Cultural Center).
Second Place (tie): Mohamed Salama Fathi (Ain Shams University) and Youssef Othman Mohamed (Suez Canal University).
Third Place: Rafna Mohamed Abdullah (Egyptian-Russian University).
Third Place (tie): Aya Tarek Ahmed (Suez Canal University), Salma Essam (Misr University for Science and Technology), and Sara Sami Mahfouz (Cairo University).
Creative Presentation Competition:
First Place: Tarek Hussein Ahmed (Cairo University).
Second Place: Ahmed Ezzat Ramadan (Cairo University).
Third Place: Haneen Eid Mohamed (South Valley University).
Special Jury Prize: Bishoy Ayman Mourad (Ain Shams University).
Denis Brunikov, Director of Russian Language Courses, represented Murad Gatin, Director of Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, at the closing ceremony. He presented certificates of excellence and New Year gifts to the participants.
