Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian the situation in the Karabakh region on Thursday.
This came during a telephone conversation between the two officials. They stressed the importance of implementing the tripartite declaration issued on the ninth of November.
The foreign ministers discussed the settlement of the situation in the Karabakh region after the Russian mediation efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive ceasefire. They also stressed the importance of ensuring the implementation of the provisions of the Russian-Armenian-Azerbaijani tripartite declaration, issued on the ninth of November.
The two ministers agreed that the main priorities are: securing the return of the displaced people and refugees, opening all economic and transportation connections in the region, providing humanitarian aid, and restoring civilian infrastructure."
