Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergei Lavrov announced on Monday that he intends to visit Algeria soon.
This came during Lavrov's meeting with his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra today in Moscow.
"I hope to pay a return visit to Algeria in the near future," Lavrov said, jokingly, "I will insist that you receive me."
Earlier in the day, the Algerian foreign minister arrived in Moscow to meet his Russian counterpart, as part of the delegation of the Arab League Contact Group on Ukraine.
Last March, Lamamra held talks with his US counterpart Antony Blinken during the latter's tour in the Middle East; To discuss a wide range of regional and global topics, including the crisis in Ukraine.
