Russian news agencies announced that a fishing boat sank on Monday in the northern Barents Sea leaving 17 people missing, while rescue operations are continuing.
The news agency "TASS" quoted the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, as saying that the ship "Onega" stationed in Murmansk sank in the Barents Sea near Novaya Zemlya archipelago.
The ministry added that the crew of the ship consisted of 19 people and two people were rescued.
