At least seven civilians have been injured following a wave of coordinated drone and artillery attacks launched by Russian forces across the Kherson region on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
According to official statements from Ukrainian authorities, the strikes targeted civilian infrastructure throughout the day. The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office confirmed that an initial war crimes investigation has been launched under its procedural guidance to document the incidents.
Local reports published by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform state that the Russian military heavily bombarded the region using a combination of tactical artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). By 5:30 PM local time, medical teams and emergency services had registered seven civilian casualties resulting from the blasts.
The regional administration noted that the intense shelling caused widespread damage to residential areas. Multiple family homes, high-rise apartment buildings, and civilian vehicles parked nearby sustained severe structural damage. Emergency response teams remain on the ground to clear debris and assist affected residents.
