Russian Ambassador to Cairo Joins Egypt's Olympic Match

The visit of the Russian national Olympic team to Egypt concludes with a second match against the Egyptian Olympic team at Suez Stadium today at 7 PM.

Egypt's Olympic team is gearing up for the Paris Olympics, and the game is taking place in the presence of the Russian Ambassador to Cairo, Georgy Borisenko, and the Governor of Suez.

The first match, which was played at the same stadium, ended in a 1-1 draw. A large group of the Russian community in Egypt attended the match, with some sporting traditional Russian attire and waving Russian flags.

They watched the game alongside Egyptian fans in an atmosphere characterized by friendship between the two nations.

The Suez Governorate organized a warm reception for the Russian audience, along with members of the Russian Embassy in Cairo, featuring drums and flutes.

Brazilian coach Michael expressed his satisfaction with the valuable experience gained from the first Russian game, which was strong and useful.

Murad Jatin, Director of Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, stated that Russian fans cheered for their team and did not feel foreign amidst the warm welcome from their Egyptian friends.

In the end, friendship prevailed, and the Russian team took a commemorative photo with the Russian community and graduates.

Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, mentioned that a group of graduates attended the match and helped with translation between the two teams' administrations.

He emphasized the importance of sports cooperation between Egypt and Russia in all games, considering Russia as one of the major countries with numerous sporting achievements worldwide.

This friendly atmosphere during the matches reflects the camaraderie between the two nations, as they come together to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship and friendship.
