Russia has urged its citizens in Jordan and Kuwait to exercise heightened caution as military tensions intensify across the Middle East.
In a statement issued by the Russian Embassy in Amman, officials called on Russian nationals in Jordan to follow all local safety instructions and avoid unnecessary long-distance travel.
The embassy advised residents to closely monitor official announcements from Jordanian authorities and remain alert to changing security conditions.
Citizens were instructed to stay indoors immediately upon hearing air raid sirens, halt movement within cities during alerts, and keep mobile phones fully charged for emergencies.
The embassy also encouraged Russian tourists and short-term visitors to register with the consular section in Amman via email or through a designated emergency hotline. Officials confirmed that consular services continue to operate as normal.
Amid ongoing regional developments, the embassy recommended that travelers regularly check flight updates through Queen Alia International Airport and their respective airlines, warning that schedule changes or delays remain possible. Updates will be communicated through the embassy’s official channels.
Separately, the Russian Embassy in Kuwait issued a similar advisory, calling on Russian citizens and members of the expatriate community to exercise maximum caution and adopt preventive measures. The embassy urged nationals to avoid sensitive locations and large public gatherings whenever possible and to closely follow official warnings and security updates issued by Kuwaiti authorities.
