“The Czech authorities have taken an unprecedented decision to expel 18 employees of the Russian embassy, under baseless excuses about the involvement of Russian diplomats suspected of working as Russian military intelligence officers, in the munitions depot blast in 2014,” the Russian Foreign Ministry statement said.
On Saturday, Czech Interior Minister, Jan Hamacik, announced the expulsion of 18 Russian diplomats from the country under the pretext of their relationship with the Russian intelligence and gave them 48 hours to leave the country.
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis claimed, “The reason for this move is the involvement of Russian diplomats, who are suspected of working as Russian military intelligence officers, in the munitions depot blast in 2014.
