The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Ukrainian forces suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment during the past day, as more than 500 soldiers were killed and dozens of military vehicles were destroyed.
In a related context, the Ukrainian army said that the Russian forces are continuing their efforts to besiege Bakhmut, explaining that they were able to foil more than 130 Russian attacks during the past hours on the eastern front.
Earlier, Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had announced the transfer of additional forces to Bakhmut, due to the significant increase in the intensity of the fighting there.
