Russia announced on Sunday that it had killed more than 530 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed a number of Ukrainian military equipment during the past 24 hours.
In a statment, Russian army spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that Russian forces have killed up to 180 Ukrainian servicemen in the Donetsk region over the past day.
Last week, Josep Borrell, the European Union's foreign affairs chief said the EU plans to double military training and equipment for Ukraine, in addition to mobilizing more military financing worth 3.5 billion euros.
"We will continue to double down on our military support on both equipment [and] training. For as long as it takes," EU top diplomat Josep Borrell wrote on Twitter, announcing the move.
