The minister affirmed that the Russian authorities hope that commercial production will begin in September, adding that companies are now preparing for production, and equipment and technological process are being prepared.

The minister added that in the first stage of this year, several thousand vaccines will be produced every month. By the beginning of next year, companies will increase production to several million.

Earlier, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the "Gimali" center vaccine is considered one of the most promising vaccines against the virus.

The deputy PM revealed that the country will set a historical record this year, in the production of ventilation devices for the artificial lungs, adding that this year, 12 to 15 thousand pieces of this type will be produced.

The deputy PM said that within a year, about 7,000 devices will be produced and sold, only within the state under a government contract.

"There are also requests contracted by the regions previously, in addition to export contracts - in total, I think about 12,000 devices will be produced this year in Russia."

Golikova affirmed that if contracts take into account spare production, Moscow will be able to produce up to 15,000 devices this year.
